Licence Plate Game - It's hard to believe it's almost halfway through September and the kids are back in school! I'm still catching up on the summer post!
This summer we hit the road and one of the things I did before we left was put together a travel folder for each boy. I filled them with fun printables that I put on clear glass protectors (so they can be erased and start over), coloring pages, activities, stickers, etc. The kids had a blast (although J could have done without it - he's not old enough to paint).
Licence Plate Game
One of the things I put in the binder was the license plate game, and let me tell you, Dave and I probably had more fun with that than K. Oh, the competition! There is actually a printable that shows all license plates in Canada and the US. We have created a permanent contest for two weeks. Whoever sees the new plate first wins a point. If you have a plate scratched from your list, the point will go to someone else.
State License Plate Game
This is a great game for older kids on long trips. And also for competitive adults 😉
After two weeks, we were able to cross a total of 33 licenses out of 63. The only Canadians we didn't find were Yukon and Nunavut (And yes, I counted the Northwest Territories, polar bear-shaped and all ).
I made my own printable since the only version I found online didn't include Canadian provinces. So far this is the ONLY version I've seen that has Canadian provinces and US states.
